
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, or GATE, is an upcoming competitive examination conducted jointly by IISc Bangalore and seven IITs. It is an important exam for those seeking admission to IIT for higher education, as well as job opportunities in Public Sector Undertakings or PSUs. IIT Kanpur will conduct GATE 2023. GATE 2023 Syllabus
The official website has published the GATE syllabus 2023 and other notifications regarding the GATE exam dates and more. Students need the GATE syllabus in order to get an idea about the topics and subjects covered in the GATE exam.
Students must qualify for the GATE Exam 2023 as it will determine their admission and financial assistance to Postgraduate Programmes (Master’s and Doctoral) with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Government Scholarships/Assistantships, based on the admission criteria of the admissions institution. As mentioned earlier, PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) also consider GATE scores for recruitment. The exam is also used by several other universities in India and abroad when admitting students. They will therefore be able to plan their studies accordingly to ace the exam by knowing the GATE exam syllabus.
Before you begin your preparation for the GATE 2023, make sure you check the updated syllabus. There will be no changes to the GATE syllabus for the General Aptitude (GA) section, which will be weighted 15%, while the core subject will be weighted 85%.
