
Punjab is mourning the loss of its most famous son after singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in an incident that has shocked the state. The 41-year-old Sidhu was found shot dead in a car outside his residence in Chak, near Chino Hills, on Sunday night. An FIR has been lodged at Sunaria police station. According to sources, an argument broke out between Wala and two men at his house, leading to a shootout. The two men have been identified as Sandeep Singh and Jaswant Singh, who are both close associates of the politician. Jatinderpal Singh Brar and his brother Ajit Kumar Brar, who own a tyre manufacturing company in nearby Chaparhar town, have also been named as accused by police. “Wala had been involved in an altercation with two men on Sunday night which resulted in him being shot dead. We have registered an FIR against Sandeep and Jaswant here under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),” said Sunaria Superintendent of Police Ranjit Singh Sandhu. Siddhu Moose Wala, was a popular Punjabi Singer, Politician and a Rival of Jagmeet Singh. He was Born on 3rd June, 1979 in Ludhiana, Punjab. He is the son of Late Sidhu Singh and Sharmila Singh, who were prominent social workers in Ludhiana. He was married to Sharmila in 2004, the couple had one daughter Shilpa and one son Sukya. After the death of his wife in 2011, he married Bannu-Chak, the daughter of a village councilor in 2012. The family, consisting of his wife and son, lived in Chak, a small village near Chino Hills in the state.
