If you want to change the default user name and password in Windows 8, you can do this by changing the setting in Group Policy. To do so, locate the Logon/Logoff Scripts section of the Settings pane. In the right pane, click Change Password. Type the new value into the empty space. If you want to change the sign-in password on Windows 8, you must perform two steps: first, turn off the automatic sign-in feature.
Once the user has changed the password, the computer will ask for the old and new password. Press OK to restore the settings. If you have forgotten your password, you can always reset it by using the same user name and password combination. To change the user name and password, go to Control Panel and click on User Accounts and Family Safety option. Select the Manage Another Account option.
To disable the user password in Windows 8, press the Alt + Ctrl and Del keys simultaneously. After entering the new one, you’ll be prompted to choose a new password. You’ll be prompted to enter it again. If the problem still persists, repeat the steps in solution #1. Alternatively, you can make a Live CD to remove the login password from your Windows 8 PC. Once you’ve done this, you can even reset the password on your PC remotely.
If you want to remove the log-in password from Windows 8, simply use the Alt+Ctrl+Del keyboard combination to open the Control Panel. You can then select the User Accounts and Family Safety tab. Now, click on the Manage Another Account link. To delete the old account, you can double-click the DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion key and restart your PC.
